The light opal on this page is from the best of the light opal and rare  crystal opal Peter mined with his partners at Mintabie in South Australia. These high quality gems were mined in the 1980’s and early 1990’s from several claims across the field. Although mined years ago they were mostly cut during the last few years. Peter kept a lot of the good rough “just to look at.” The time for cutting finally arrived and that’s good news for you!
