Almost all of the specimens and pieces on this page came from the mines Peter worked. The seam opal and pieces from Mintabie were mined from claims he and his partners worked across most sub fields of Mintabie over the twelve years he mined there. The boulder was mined at his Rainbow lease in SW Queensland. Peter had a large excavator at this remote location in the very sparsely populated desert outback. Quilpie was a rough trip over 2 hours away on dirt tracks and “roads”
