Practically all of the black opal on this page comes from Mintabie in South Australia. The opal was mined by partnerships Peter was part of or by himself. The bulk of the black opal came from our Water Tank claims on the Old Field or from the Jet Black claim in Crystal Valley. These claims produced many exquisite gems and some magnificent pockets pf opal. Peter kept his share of the opal and cut it over the years.
