It varies from the common opaque white based opal to the rare and vibrant clear crystal opal. Crystal opal with several colours is extremely rare. Most of the light based opal in Mineshaft has come from our own mines at Mintabie Opal Field. Mintabie Opal is the hardest opal there, a great advantage as it is the best wearing opal. Crystal Opal 18 carat gold pendant (Code 20203535). This is a rare 5 colour gem set in 18ct gold with Diamonds. The opal is from one of the best pockets of opal we found over 30 years ago and only recently cut by Peter. It is a predominantly yellow orange green crystal opal with a central red colour flash overriding a rare turquoise flash. The opal weighs 3.82 carats. To me this is the nicest crystal opal pendant of this value we have at present. The price is A$6,000.

OPAL OWL. The opal in this 18 carat gold pendant has been carved in to a beautiful owl. The opal was mined at Crystal Valley in Mintabie. The opal itself weighs 25 carats and is set in 18 carat gold. The code is 20430238 and the price is A$5000
Crystal Opal 18 ct gold pendant (Code 20343934). This is a wonderful clean large crystal opal from the same pocket as the Pinfire pendant above. We have just a few pieces left of this material. The stone measures 23mm by 18mm and weighs 12.95 carats. It is set in 18 ct gold with Diamonds. The price is A$7000.
